- You give us with a starting odometer reading on a particular day.
Example: 1/1/1997; 10,000 miles.
- You give us another reading and date when the policy is up for renewal.
Example: 10/3/1997; 13,501 miles.
- We count the number of days between readings.
Example: 275 Days.
- And the number of miles driven.
Example: 3,501 miles.
- Then divide the number of miles driven by the number of days elapsed, for the average daily miles driven.
Example: 3,501 / 275 = 12.73 average daily miles.
- We multiply the average daily miles by 365 to give projected annual mileage.
Example: 12.73 x 365 = 4,647 projected annual miles.
So using the above example, if you're on the Limited Pleasure Use Plan with a 5,000 mile limit, you're fine. If your limit is 2,500 miles or you're on either Concours Plan option (1,000 or 3,000 annual miles) you're over the limit, based both on projected and actual mileage.
