How Do We Figure Mileage?
Our policies have limits ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 annual miles. You can drive up to the annual mileage limit you choose.
Why Report Mileage?
We offer significantly reduced rates. At the same time, we also offer superior coverages. This doesn't happen by accident. Thousands of customers have enjoyed these consistently great rates and coverages since 1991. This is partly because we limit the mileage allowed, and check up to make sure people aren't abusing the program.
Mileage Reporting
- At the beginning when you first send in an application you give us your current odometer reading. This is only for our general information, to help us assess the auto's condition. When your application has been accepted, you'll fill out an odometer statement. This reading -- taken right when your policy begins -- will be used for your starting annual policy mileage.
- When your policy is up for renewal adherence to mileage limits is a condition of policy renewal. A few months before your policy expires you'll get another odometer statement to fill out and send back to us. We'll use this to calculate your annual mileage (our exact method is below). That figure is used to determine if you are operating within mileage limitations.
